Anyone got any good gift ideas for sporty friends?

I bought my boyfriend a heart rate monitor last year - he loves it and has used it loads.

I know this is a problem area for many people - I get at least two coolmax running shirts each year!

I know I'm biased, but a yoga mat or DVD would be a great gift for many people.

I'd love something as practical as a heart rate monitor!  Or if someone's going to get me socks, how about some coolmax ones i can wear for running? (Are you reading this mum?)

Depends on your budget of course - but essentials like sports bras and gym bags are always welcome.

I was in the nike shop the other day - they have some fab clothes and stuff.  I reckon you could find something for anyone sporty in there.

My other half is just getting into running - would this be a good choice for him do you think?

Some of the best presents I've ever got have been things like a new bike computer, winter biking tights, weight lifting gloves, anything you can actually use.

At christmas I want gloriously glamorous and impractical gifts!

I'd love to get something as practical as gym clothes!  I can't be bothered buying them for myself, but if someone else did it - that would be great!

Bike types are easy - we can always use a good pair of shorts, a new computer, spare tubes, energy bars, winter clothing, the list is endless.

Sports MP3s are good.

If they're into healthy eating, then blenders and juicers are always a good option.

You can't go too far wrong with workout clothes for women - as long as we can return them for wrong size etc it at least shows you've put a bit of thought into it (are you listening guys!)
