Hi Rob
i introduced Colin Montgomery to vibration training 4 years ago i was asked by David Lloyd to help him get ready for the Rider Cup as he was having problems with back pain.
i introduced vibration training to the UK 8 years ago to answer your question re giving a cardio work out in 10 mins or building muscle in 10 mins
i would like to invite you & any one else to one of my clinics The Fitness Lounge the play ground for vibration training we have 4 diferant makes of machines & some of the most qualified Vibro Therapists in the world that could satisfy any doubts that you may have re Vibration training
its never to late i admit it has been very frustrating that it has taken so long for people to see the vision i had some 8 years ago
A crock of what?
why would you make comments like this?
there is so much evidence to support the fact that vibration training works, you clearly have not tried it & clearly have not searched on the internet for studies proving that it works.
i train an international athlete that runs 100 meters in less than 10 sec i reduced his body fat by 10% & put on 7 kilos of body mass & increased his vertical jump by 5 cm in 8 weeks & he never touched a weight (some crock)
be warned there are very few machines that do as they say they do whether they be power-plate at £8,500 or machines for £150 they are fraudulant in some of their claims they deliberatly miss lead clients into beleiving that studies were ddone on their machines when they were infact done on some one elses
Hi Caz
there is a huge diferance between power-plate & VibroGym
VibroGym is the original machine formaly known as the power-plate some time ago the world distributor of the power-plate broke his contract with the manufactour & build a plastic copy made in china try the two machines power-plate next generation is like a toy compared to the VibroGym
Hi
I would very much like to take you up on your offer and come and try the Vibration Training machines. I am very interested but there seem to be a lot of conflicting information and getting first hand view from someone who has been using it for some time is very valuable. Please let me know how I can make arrangments to come for a try.

Sounds a bit like sour grapes to me. I use Powerplate machines with PT and rehab clients within a gym and also at a weight loss clinic and have found them to be very good to use and have not had any quality issues at all. Also used Galileo machines (used more in clinical/medical setting) but have not had an opportunity to use a VibroGym yet. Would have doubts as to the build quality of some of the cheaper models of vibration trainers that are now available (under £2000) and also whether they are able to maintain a frequency above 18Hz whilst being used. Not been able to find any detailed research on this yet though.
I have been using a power plate 3x per week for 12 months, it does not claim to give you a cardio workout and doesn't. My results from sustained use of the machine have been really good. I have lost 2 stone in weight and dropped 2 dress sizes,
