Has anyone tried this idea of several short (10 mins) workouts instead of one longer one?  did it work?  did you like it?

i do it with walking to and from work, using the stairs, that kind of thing, and it really helps on days when i can't fit in a proper workout  -but i've never done it with weights or stuff like that.

I seem to recall reading that multiple workous in a day actualy give more bang for the buck than one long one - bringing the body up to speed each time increases what you get out of it.

I think quite a lot of pro athletes and sports people do "two-a-days", rather than one long long workout, so if the pros do it there must be some good reasons for it.

i do a short (20 mins) walk in the mornings and then some yoga or weights at home in the evening, that works well for me.

I think it's a good principle - might be fun to try for a while...

I do a similar type of mix, some yoga every morning to wake me up, ahd walking at variouis times through the day - that wya if i don't get to the gym or whatever i've still done something every day.

i do my abs every morning and my stretching watching tv in the evening, that way my actual workouts are shorter.

that's smart, but i'm not sure i'd be disciplined enough to actualy do it!

i'm going on holiday and don't want to lug a bunch of workout stuff with me - i might try it, maybe a bit first thing in the morning, some in the afternoon, a walk in the evening and so on.
