    I read somewhere that although they are obese, sumos are really healthy - they said the moral is, if you're going to eat a lot, then work out a lot too!

    I think that's called fit and fat or something like that - if you workout but eat a lot you can be pretty healthy but still carry extra pounds.

    I've certainly done 10k races where I've been beaten by people carrying lots of extra weight!

    How do you define healthy?  i'd love to see one trying to run!

    Definitions of fitness do vary, don't they?  I wonder what definition they were using for this?

    Strength and power wise they are fit as! They eat special forumilsed high calorie diets in order to pack the weight on... these are extremely well tuned athletes - for Sumo.

    And no they can't run too far as they train and eat specifically for high intensity short bursts of activity (not the big ones anyways)

    It's amazing what you can do when you direct the body in a particular direction and follow it 100%.
