My friend always buys bottled water and has a filter thing on her tap at home - she says tap water isn't safe.  is that true?

i thought we were supposed to drink 8 glasses a day?  i couldn't afford that much bottled water.

I'm sure that's just something the bottled water companies want you to believe.

there have been several scares over the years with bottled water and benzene for example - i'll take my chances with tap water.

Per pint, bottled water costs more than some wines! 

There's also the environmental costs - the plastic bottles and the transportation.

I'll just keep drinking tap water until there's some really clear reason that we shouldn't.
