Gout diet?
My uncle has been diagnosed with gout. I thought it was something fat old men got, but he's 45 and not really overweight - he said the doctor told him to avoid red meat and seafood - that's pretty bizarre, isn't it?

I've never heard of anyone in this day and age having gout. As you say, bizarre.

Is it genetic, or is it only if you eat lots of red meat and fish?

There was an article in the paper this week, said it was increasing from sugary drinks - high fructose corn syrup was a big culprit.
