    Hi

I'm currently on a bad diet of junk food, sweets and little exercise...I'm getting fat, fast.  I want to change this and I'm ready to do something about it.. I'm just looking for some advice regarding diet.. I'm not a good cook at all so the simpler the better.  I know vegetables are good for you but I can't keep any of that down.. Potatoes, carrot etc.. I end up gagging. On the up side, I'm eating plenty of fruit and I've joined a gym..

Oh, one more thing.. I've heard that no matter how much exercise you do, you can never get rid of 'love handles' (I'm sure that isn't the technical term, but it sounds better than the fat on the side of your waist).. Is this true?

     Any advice is appreciated

    Regards
    Jon

You've made a good start, admitting that you need to do something.  The love handles will go, you've just got to lose a lot of fat.

Learning to cook would really help you - get a basic cookbook like one of jamie oliver's and just start trying stuff.  it's the only way to get off the junk food cycle.

I've found a lot of it is planning - having good snacks at work, not going too long without eating, always having some basic stuff in the house and so on.

eat fresh food - once i committed to fresh food and stopped eating processed stuff, my weight finally dropped.

    Hi Jon,

Well well well, someone that hates veggies. Shame on you.

    There is hope however.

The good chap known as Dr Doug Graham will satisfy your need to not eat veg, and you liking for fruit.

Up to you to check him out on the internet though.

Like anything else in life, I should point out that any advice you take from him, or others, is done at your own risk............

    Best,
