I often have to workout at home, but I'm a bit bored with my home workout - anyone have any great ideas for home workouts, or exercises?
I am a first year student in digital media, and one of my assignments is to create a digital alternative to exercise DVD’s. I am working on a programme that will be accessible FREE through interactive TV (red button technology through your television set).
The user will have access to an on-demand library of workout videos catering for all levels of fitness and types of exercise. Thus creating more choice and adding variation to your routines (how boring it must be listening to the same instructor with the same music over and over). With the use of a heart rate monitor (worn around the wrist) and Bluetooth technology, the program will record calorie expenditure, fat burn & workout intensity. This will then be presented as on screen progress charts, showing you the results of your labour over a given period.
The program will also include a lifestyle zone featuring diet plans, hundreds of healthy recipes, and tips/pointers from industry professionals.I would appreciate all feedback on this idea good/bad as it will help me to produce an assignment that could one day be of use to you.
