    I used to take a multi vitamin, then stopped.  i'm very confused, some doctors say it's a good idea, others say it's a waste of time.  anyone have any thoughts on this?

    I think it's better to be safe than sorry.  Our food is so nutritionally degraded, our air is polluted, we live stressful lives, and most people eat a lot of junk food - for all these reasons I take a multivitamin on a daily basis.

    I'd agree with the other reply - I'm a better safe than sorry person when it comes to vitamins.  For the pennies a day it costs, I think it's a good form of insurance - especially for active people.

    I take a multi vitamin every few days, or when i'm feeling a bit low or worn out, just as a top up.  If you eat well you probably don't need it every day.

    The other thing to think about is minerals - there's lots of minerals we need, so if you are taking a multi-vit, you need one that has the main minerals too.
