    I really like to eat fruit, particularly for snacks, but heard it was pretty hi on the GI - is that true?  Should i be eating something else for snacks?

    Check a GI chart - i think there's quite a difference between different fruits.

    When i looked into it i was surprised how big a difference there was between one type and another.

    I have friends who have had great success with the GI diet, so if you're looking to lose weight it's worth getting right.

    Check it out - a lot of fruit is actually pretty good on the GI - apples are about a 38, even bananas and grapes are under 55, which is the cut-off for low GI

    Unless you're going crazy it's hard to imagine eating fruit doing you too much harm.  I certainly have never met anyone who has gained weight from eating fruit!
