    I'm a triathelete so training is really high, but i need to get a massive amount of carbs to fuel it?

    Im just about to work with a dietician to get a better balance? has anyone got any experience of my issues be great to understand food plans and any "special " recipes food that you have had.

    Yuo need a mixutre of slow energy release food before an event such as porridge or beans on toast, and take on carb food during such as gels or powerbars....with a combination of high and slow relaease post event, honey on toast? hope that helps..

    my triathlon friend makes up the extra calories by eating more frequently - five meals per day, but still following good nutrition basics.  though there is the odd midnight bowl of cereal!

    I'm sure the dietician will set you straight.  Just don't try that pemmican stuff they were eating on that Race to the Pole TV show - high calorie, yes!  Disgusting?  YES!!!!

    Yeah, I completely agree with these guys - eating small, more frequent balanced meals is more important than stocking up on any one food group - I know guys who just live off pasta and stuff and they usually end up getting sick - you need all the food groups to support your body when you're training.
