    I saw an interesting article the other day.  Remember the 1970s grapefruit diet?  Recent research has shown that simply including grapefruit in your regular diet can help you lose weight.  Apparently it helps regulate your insuline response.  So there was something real behind the nonsense.

    My mum has always sworn by them, but i find them really sharp - any ideas?

    I guess putting sugar on would kind of defeat the purpose!

    Maybe if you tried the juice and watered it down or mixed it with a bit of orange juice or something.

    I'd give it a go - much better than some other ways of losing weight.  At least it's healthy.

    You guys are nuts - I mean, okay, integrate a few grapefruit into your diet now and again, but seriously, have you LOOKED at the grapfruit diet? It totally limits certain food groups and the general balance is not healthy or sustainable.  Also, eating large quantities of citrus can mess with your digestive system.

     Have grapefruit, by all means, but steer clear of the actual diet...
