I want to ensure I maintain well balanced arms by working out in equal proportions for both triceps and biceps. I don't mean time-wise (30 mins on each)
If i use isolation exercises like tri-press downs, french press or dips, then proportionally what typoe of exercises do i need to do on the biceps to ensure I get equal muscle gain / strength.
I don't want bulging bicpes with relatively smaller triceps!
Any one out there can help?
Thanks Andy - I am making an assumption here, but from anecdotal evidence the biceps seem to be simpler to get to increase in size. That could simply be because many gym users simply spend so much time concentrating on biceps, they neglect their triceps, or maybe there's just more bicep exercises that people know of?
Are there any technical articles on this type of training that you know of? I am not after Arnie arms, just want to get a good balance.
Hey thanks guys - some great ideas there!
To be honest I want to concentrate on different muscle groups for each workout - like arms & back one day, upper legs & shoulders next workout etc. So looks like i could split triceps and biceps
Does anyone have any tips for a great 3 day workout that isloates groups in this way so that each group gets a week's rest (obviously not quite possible but you get my drift?)
