    Hi all,

I'm a newbie to this site but NOT a newbie to dieting.  At the mo I'm still counting calories, well I've been doing it for the last 8 months.  I write them down religiously in my diary every day, I exercise for about 4 times a week from about 40 mins to 1 hr.  What I can't work out is why when I eat around 1300-1400 calories per day I have NOT LOST a single ounce.  I have tried every way from not doing any exercise and eating less to doing more exercise and eating more.  Mostly fruit a veg diets - carb diets but nothing seems to work on me.  I only want to lose a stone.  I don't care what I eat any more just as long as it's within my calorie allowance.  The other day I had a toasted turkey sarny and then a lovely piece of blueberry cheesecake (500 calories for the cheesecake). Now all that probably came to around 1100 calories (and I've added on a few extra calories for the toastie).  So what's going on ????  Do counting calories work ??.  I haven't eaten over 2000 cals. for the last 8 months - so something sucks eh!!

Anybody else come across this problem ? Huh?
